Rohtak: Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak has released a fresh set of admission and counselling notices for the 2026-27 academic session, with vacant seats still available across several postgraduate and specialised programmes. The latest notices cover courses ranging from Artificial Intelligence and Data Science to Genetics, Bioinformatics, Physics and Yoga Science. The university has scheduled physical counselling for several programmes on August 27, giving eligible candidates an immediate opportunity to seek admission against the remaining seats.
Counselling for Several Courses on August 27
According to the latest MDU notices, physical counselling is being conducted for programmes including M.Sc. Zoology and M.A. Yoga Science on August 27. The university has also published vacant-seat and counselling-related notices for other postgraduate programmes. Among the courses included in the latest admission updates are M.Sc. Genetics, M.Sc. Bioinformatics, M.Sc. Computer Science, M.Sc. Computer Science with Data Science and Machine Learning, PG Diploma in Computational Biology and a Certificate Course in AI & ML in Pharmaceutical Sciences. This makes the latest admission round particularly relevant for students looking for specialised programmes in emerging areas such as AI, machine learning, data science and computational biology.
MDU Releases Merit Lists and Vacant-Seat Updates
MDU has also published provisional merit lists for several programmes as part of the ongoing admission process. The latest notices indicate that admissions are still being processed in departments where seats remain available after earlier rounds. Other programmes appearing in the university's latest notices include M.A. Yoga Science, M.Sc. Physics, M.Sc. Zoology, Law and M.Ed., among others. For the M.Ed. programme, the university has issued a notice concerning physical counselling for six vacant seats for the 2026-27 academic session.
Candidates Must Check Programme-wise Schedule
The counselling date and admission procedure are not the same for every programme. Candidates therefore need to check the individual notice issued for their course to confirm eligibility, reporting time, documents required and the availability of seats. Students interested in the remaining seats can check the latest admission and counselling notices on the official MDU website before appearing for counselling. With several specialised programmes still showing vacant seats, the latest round could be particularly relevant for candidates who are yet to finalise their postgraduate admission for the 2026-27 session.
